Oil & Gas Heating Solutions

The oil and gas industry operates in some of the harshest environments on earth — from arctic wellheads to desert refineries. Temperature control is essential for flow assurance, viscosity management, and process efficiency. EaseWise supplies robust industrial heating elements built for hazardous-area operation and extreme duty cycles.

Oil & Gas Heating Solutions

Key Applications

Crude Oil Tank Heating

Heavy crude and residual oils require heating to maintain pumpable viscosity. Immersion heaters with high-watt-density designs provide direct tank heating, while oil drum heaters and silicone heating pads wrap around smaller vessels and drums for indirect, uniform warmth.

Pipeline Tracing & Freeze Protection

Pipeline Tracing & Freeze Protection

Exposed pipelines in cold climates risk freezing and wax deposition. Flexible silicone heating pads and PI heaters can be applied to pipe surfaces for reliable trace heating, while tubular heaters serve as in-line heaters for critical process streams.

Natural Gas Preheating

Pressure reduction stations cause significant temperature drops due to the Joule-Thomson effect. Tubular heaters and immersion heaters in gas preheating skids maintain gas temperature above hydrate formation and freezing points, ensuring safe downstream operation.

Refinery Process Heating

Distillation columns, reactors, and heat exchangers require precise temperature control across multiple zones. Tubular heaters and immersion heaters provide reliable heating for process streams, reboilers, and heat transfer fluid systems.

Drilling Fluid & Mud Heating

Drilling mud and completion fluids must be maintained at optimal temperature for viscosity control. Immersion heaters in mud tanks and pits deliver direct, high-capacity heating, while silicone heating pads can be used for smaller mud testing and sampling equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can your heaters be used in hazardous (explosive) atmospheres?

We supply heating elements that are built into ATEX/IECEx-certified assemblies by equipment integrators. As a heating element supplier, we provide the core heating components with appropriate sheath materials and electrical ratings.

For sour crude (H₂S-containing) environments, SS316 or Incoloy sheaths provide superior corrosion resistance. SS304 may be suitable for sweet crude applications. We can advise on material selection based on your specific fluid chemistry.

Sizing depends on tank volume, desired temperature rise, ambient conditions, and heat loss. Provide us with your tank specifications and operating conditions, and our engineering team will calculate the required wattage and heater configuration.
