Brass Band Heater for Injection Machine Nozzles

Brass band heater is a fully sealed heating element mainly designed for injection machine nozzles and hot runner bushings. Its brass outer sheath provides excellent thermal conductivity and helps reduce the risk of molten plastic leakage. Custom sizes, voltage, power and thermocouple options are available for OEM applications.

Brass Band Heater Product Introduction

This heater uses a sealed brass outer structure, high-temperature mica insulation and NiCr 80/20 nickel-chromium heating wire. The compact construction provides fast heat transfer and responsive heating for small heating zones.

The sealed brass design is especially suitable for nozzle applications where close fitting, heat transfer and plastic leakage protection are important. It can also be used for hot runner bushings and small-diameter cylindrical heating components.

Applications

Injection Machine Nozzle Heating

The sealed brass structure provides close contact around the nozzle and helps reduce the risk of molten plastic leakage. This is the primary application of this heater.

Hot Runner Bushing Heating

Excellent thermal conductivity helps transfer heat quickly to small hot runner components and maintain stable operating temperatures.

Small-Diameter Barrel Heating

The compact split structure can also be used for small extruders and other short cylindrical heating zones requiring fast thermal response.

Packaging and Hot-Welding Equipment

It can be used in heat-sealing and film-welding equipment where compact heating and fast temperature response are required.

Important Selection Notes

• Recommended mainly for nozzle and small heating-zone applications.
• Recommended maximum working surface temperature is approximately 340–350°C.
• For temperatures above 350°C, ceramic band heaters are generally more suitable.
• For conventional medium-temperature barrel heating, mica band heaters can be a more economical option.
• For corrosive materials such as PVC, stainless steel sheath heaters should be considered.
• Standard stock heaters do not include thermocouple holes unless specified.
