What Is a U Shaped Tubular Heater?

A U shaped tubular heater consists of an internal resistance wire, high-purity magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation, and a metal sheath. When electrical current passes through the resistance wire, electrical energy is converted into heat and transferred through the MgO insulation and metal sheath to the surrounding heating medium or equipment.

The U-shaped design provides two parallel heating sections in one compact element. Depending on the application, sheath materials such as stainless steel, Incoloy, copper, or titanium can be selected.
