What Is a Finned Tubular Heating Element?
A finned tubular heating element is a tubular electric heater with metal fins attached to its outer sheath. The internal resistance wire generates heat, while high-purity MgO insulation provides electrical insulation and heat transfer to the sheath and fins.
The fins increase the effective surface area, making these heating elements suitable for air heating, forced-air systems, ovens, drying equipment, air curtains, and industrial machinery.
How Does It Work?
Electrical current heats the internal resistance wire. Heat passes through the MgO insulation and metal sheath to the fins, which transfer heat to the surrounding air or gas.
