PT100 RTD Sensor Configurations
PT100 Sensor with PVC Cable
PT100 sensors with PVC cables are suitable for general industrial
temperature measurement where the cable operates within its specified
temperature limits. They can be configured with different probe lengths,
cable lengths, and wiring arrangements.
PT100 Sensor with Silicone Cable
Silicone cable configurations offer greater flexibility and are suitable
for applications requiring a cable with a higher temperature rating than
standard PVC. The allowable temperature depends on the selected cable and
complete sensor assembly.
Threaded PT100 Temperature Sensor
A threaded PT100 temperature sensor provides a fixed mounting arrangement
for tanks, pipes, machinery, and process equipment. Available thread
configurations can include M6, M8, M10, M12, G1/8, G1/4, G1/2, and NPT1/4,
subject to the selected model.
3-Wire and 4-Wire PT100 RTD Sensor
Three-wire PT100 sensors are commonly used in industrial measurement
systems because they compensate for lead-wire resistance when used with
a compatible measurement circuit. Four-wire configurations further reduce
the influence of lead-wire resistance and are suitable for precision
measurement, testing, and calibration systems.
