Automotive and EV Applications
1. EV Battery Preheating
Automotive silicone heaters can be installed on or around battery components to provide controlled preheating in cold environments. Maintaining a suitable battery temperature can help improve low-temperature charging and operating conditions.
2. EV Battery Pack Heating
Flexible silicone heating pads can be customized for battery packs and battery enclosures. The thin construction helps fit heating elements into limited installation spaces while providing distributed surface heating.
3. Battery Thermal Management
Silicone heaters can serve as auxiliary heating elements in battery thermal management systems where additional heat is required during cold-weather operation or before normal operating temperatures are reached.
4. Automotive Fluid Heating
Flexible silicone heaters can be applied to selected automotive fluid containers, pipes and components to help maintain fluid temperature in cold environments and reduce the risk of excessive viscosity or freezing.
5. Automotive Electronics and Enclosures
Low-power silicone heating elements can provide localized heating for selected electronic enclosures, control components and sensor housings where condensation protection or temperature maintenance is required.
6. Cold-Weather Vehicle Applications
Automotive silicone heaters can be designed for vehicles operating in cold climates where localized preheating, anti-freezing or temperature maintenance is required.
Why Choose an Automotive Silicone Heater?
- Flexible installation: The silicone body can conform to many vehicle and battery surfaces.
- Low-profile design: The 1.5–2.0 mm thickness is suitable for space-limited applications.
- Uniform heating: Distributed heating helps reduce localized hot spots when properly installed.
- Custom heating area: Size and shape can be designed according to battery packs and vehicle components.
- Temperature sensing: K/J thermocouples, PT100, NTC sensors or thermal switches can be integrated.
- Multiple installation methods: Adhesive backing or mounting holes can be selected according to the application.
- OEM customization: Voltage, power, watt density, lead position and heating pattern can be customized.

Important Operating Notes
- Maintain close thermal contact between the heater and the heated surface.
- Avoid air gaps because trapped air may cause localized overheating.
- For long-term continuous operation, watt density below 0.5 W/cm² is generally recommended.
- Do not expose the heater directly to an open flame.
- Use appropriate temperature control and over-temperature protection.
- Confirm the heater voltage and power before installation.
- For EV battery applications, the heater design and temperature-control method should be matched to the battery manufacturer’s requirements.
