1. Choose the Correct Voltage

For compact or low-voltage equipment, 12V or 24V may be suitable. For industrial equipment, 110V or 220V configurations are commonly used.
2. Select the Required Heating Power
Heating power determines how quickly the heater can raise and maintain the required temperature. Power requirements depend on:

- Required heating time.
- Material being heated.
- Ambient temperature.
- Heat loss from the equipment.

4. Match the Heater Size and Shape

Silicone rubber heaters can be manufactured in different lengths, widths, shapes, and layouts. Custom designs are useful for irregular heating surfaces or limited installation space.
For a custom heater, provide the required length, width, shape, hole locations, and heated area.
5. Choose the Mounting Method
The mounting method affects installation and heat transfer.
- 3M adhesive backing: suitable for smooth surfaces and simple installation.
- Mounting holes: useful when mechanical fastening is preferred.
- Custom mounting: available for special installation requirements.
The heater should maintain good contact with the heated surface for efficient and uniform heat transfer.
6. Add Temperature Control When Required
For applications requiring temperature control, a temperature sensor or thermostat can be incorporated into the heater design.
Common options include K-type or J-type thermocouples, PT100, NTC, and thermostats. The best option depends on the required temperature range and control system.
