Threaded Cartridge Heater
Threaded Cartridge Heater is a screw-in heating element designed for applications where a threaded connection is preferred over a press-fit installation.
With an integrated BSP thread, the heater can be directly screwed into equipment for convenient installation, removal and replacement.
Our standard threaded cartridge heaters use a SUS321 stainless steel sheath, BSP thread and 220V power supply.
Common 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ BSP models are available in stock. NPT threads, built-in thermocouples, special thread sizes and other configurations are available for custom production.
Screw-in Threaded Design
- Screw-in Installation: Threaded connection allows direct installation into a threaded equipment port.
- BSP Thread: 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ BSP stock configurations.
- Easy Replacement: Threaded mounting allows convenient heater removal and replacement.
- Non-heating Thread Section: The threaded section is designed as a non-heating zone. Only the heater tube below the thread generates heat.
- Custom Threads: NPT and special thread dimensions are available for custom orders.

Installation & Safety Notes
- The threaded section is a non-heating zone. Only the heater tube below the thread generates heat.
- For liquid heating applications, make sure the heated section is properly immersed according to the equipment design.
- Dry operation can cause excessive temperature rise and premature heater failure.
- Make sure the thread is correctly matched with the equipment port before installation.
- Do not overtighten the threaded connection, as excessive mechanical force may damage the heater.
- Built-in thermocouple versions require correct connection of the heating and sensor wires.
FAQ
Q: What thread types are available?
A: Standard stock models use 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ BSP threads. NPT and other thread standards can be manufactured as custom orders.
Q: Is the threaded section heated?
A: No. The thread section is designed as a non-heating zone. The heating output is generated by the heater tube below the threaded section.
Q: Can the heater be customized?
A: Yes. We can customize the thread type, diameter, heated length, voltage, power, watt density, sheath material, lead wire and thermocouple configuration.
Q: Do you have threaded cartridge heaters in stock?
A: Yes. Selected BSP models in 220V specifications are available as stock sizes. Please contact us for current stock availability.
