High-Density Cartridge Heater for Rapid Industrial Heating
High-Density Cartridge Heater is designed for rapid heating, high heat transfer and demanding industrial applications where high power output is required in a compact heating element. Compared with a standard cartridge heater, its higher watt density allows faster heat-up and concentrated heating in close-fit installations.
Our high-density cartridge heaters are available in stock sizes and can also be custom-made according to your required diameter, heated length, voltage, power and watt density.

High-Density Heating Performance
This type of cartridge heater can provide a watt density of approximately 18–35 W/cm², allowing faster heat-up and higher localized heating performance than conventional heating elements.
The actual maximum watt density depends on the heater diameter, heated length, installation fit, material being heated and operating conditions. Proper installation and heat transfer are important when operating at higher watt densities.
- Rapid temperature rise
- High power output in a compact heating element
- Suitable for close-fit metal bore installations
- Designed for demanding short-cycle heating applications
- High-purity MgO insulation for efficient heat transfer
- Custom watt density available according to application requirements
For general industrial heating requirements where extremely high watt density is not necessary, our
Standard Cartridge Heater
may be a more suitable option.

Other Cartridge Heater Configurations
Different equipment layouts may require different cartridge heater constructions. Our product range includes several configurations for specific installation requirements.
- L-Shape Cartridge Heater
for applications requiring a special lead or terminal arrangement. - Threaded Cartridge Heater
for applications requiring threaded mounting or positioning. - Flange-Mount Cartridge Heater
for applications where flange mounting provides a more convenient installation method.
Selecting the correct configuration helps improve installation fit, heat transfer and serviceability.
High-Density Cartridge Heater vs Standard Cartridge Heater
The main difference is the heating power that can be delivered over the heated surface. High-watt-density designs are intended for applications requiring faster heat-up or concentrated heating, while standard configurations are suitable for more general heating requirements.
If you need a conventional configuration for general industrial heating, visit our
Standard Cartridge Heater
page.
